South East Quarries & Landfill Group

There will be groups of delegates, visiting several areas of the quarry and dealing with a variety of topics. Each topic station will be presented by either a member of the South East Quarries & Landfill Group or another experienced presenter in the subject.  Subjects for topic stations may include, but are subject to change depending on host site availability:

 

TOPIC STATIONS:

1. Working at Height

2. Road Transport

3. Guarding and Fault Finding

4. Manual Handling

5. Mobile Plant and Pedestrian Safety

6. Isolation and Lock Out

7. First Aid or Mental Health First Aid

8. Working near Water

Free parking on site at the quarry.  Registration will begin at 0700hrs and a bacon butty breakfast will be available to all who arrive before 0800hrs. After a brief introduction delegates will assemble into their individual groups and will start at their first topic station at 0845hrs.
